Eat
the Seasons

Give me the
seasons and I'll eat them:
I'll eat Spring mangoes and sweet peas
When the leaves are as tiny as toes;
I'll gobble Summer squash and carrots
As the colors are eyes in a crowd;
I'll ingest Fall pumpkins and turnips
When the stalks are as white as frost;
And when Winter crawls from the north
I'll eat the sky and swallow the wind.
