Trans Sonnet Without Ideation

10/18/22

Lord       i am weak
forgive me       forgive me
last night       i tried to burn
this body again       now

i can only       lay in bed
picking       ashes and embers
out of the gaps
in my teeth       forgive me

i tried to burn
Your only gift       this unburnished
body i borrowed       from You
from You       i know

this was never       how You wanted
me       to finish what You left undone
